"I can't see how, but we did that once before on the Zoo TV tour – the Zooropa album came out. But I remember the sheer effort of flying back to Dublin every night of the European tour to work on that album and then fly out again a day or so later – it nearly killed the band. They should remember that period if they think about doing it again. Nothing would surprise me, but it's certainly not something I would have expected."

He does admit later in the interview, though, that doing stadium shows means U2 should have more time if they want to work on the album during the tour.

U2 and Eno Again
Producer says they're off to the studio
10 April 2009 - Brian Eno’s revealed that he’s heading back into the studio with U2 next week.

The legendary producer didn’t give any more details at all – but made the comment at the very end of an event last night in which he discussed philosophy and politics with US trumpeter and composer Jon Hassell.

The talk at London's South Bank Centre was the opening to this year’s Ether Festival, and on Sunday and Monday night Eno will perform alongside David Byrne as part of the same event.

The legendary producer and former Roxy Music member is credited with the invention of ambient music, and during his career has worked with the likes of Talking Heads, David Bowie, U2 and Coldplay as well as producing numerous world music records.

Hassell collaborated with Eno on the 1980 album ‘Fourth World Vol. 1: Possible Musics,’ and early in his musical career worked with the revered composer and sound pioneer Karlheinz Stockhausen.

In his career Eno has recorded more than forty solo and collaborative studio albums, beginning in 1973 with Here Come The Warm Jets, and most recently last year’s Whatever Happens Will Happen Today with David Byrne.

According to this news update on the Italian site U2place.com, Larry's drum tech Sam O'Sullivan spilled the beans to fans in Zagreb about some of the band's plans for the next year or so. Here's the scoop:

    * After the North American tour ends, U2 will stay in Vancouver to complete work on the new album, Songs of Ascent. It'll be released in December or early in 2010.
    * U2 may tour Australia/New Zealand ("Oceania" is what U2place.com says) in March 2010, but it depends on the cost of transporting the stage.
    * There'll be another tour of Europe next summer, including a date in Rome.

For what it's worth, Sam has been pretty reliable over the years about this kind of stuff. And on a related note, there are reports that four major record labels -- including U2's label, Universal -- are joining forces to create a new digital album format. In much of the coverage, U2's new album is said to be one of the first releases, if not the first release to be available this way. (Thx KM and TP.)

Ugovor da. Samo stancaj ploce, bit ce love. I njih jede industrija, a rugali su se Princeu u knjizi.

tako je to kad imas ime odnosno brand koji te prodaje

oni da snime bilo sto i objave zbog imena U2 sigurno bi bilo kupaca bez obzira na kvalitetu djela
i zato i imaju takav ugovor da su plaćeni po kvantiteti a ne kvaliteti

pa zato zivjelo stancanje i industrijska proizvodnja
Henry Ford i Taylor koji su izmislili tekuću traku i izračunali produktivnost industrijske proizvodnje vjerojatno bi se iznenadili da su živi i vide kako to U2 proizvodi pjesme.
